Connecticut Absentee Voting
Connecticut residents can now have a ballot mailed to them and vote by mail if they are traveling, sick or are concerned about COVID.
Follow the simple 2-step process:
1. Apply online* to receive a ballot by going to the state website: CT Online Absentee Portal
2. You will receive a ballot at your requested address within a few days. VOTE and mail the ballot in the pre-addressed envelope OR Drop it in a dropbox at your townhall.
Only complete absentee ballots received before the close of polls on the day of the election, November 8th, will be counted.
*The absentee online application process is NEW - in the past, you could only apply using a paper application. You need a CT driver's license to apply online. If you prefer, you can still apply using the paper application by downloading absentee form here and mailing in the completed and signed form to your town clerk. Choose sickness as a reason if you are concerned about COVID.
